Junction, an initiative of the JDC, the Schusterman Foundation, and YESOD, seeks to empower young Jewish adults and professionals to engage with the pan-European Jewish community by providing innovative international opportunities.

Junction organizes international gatherings throughout the year that aim to provide professional and personal development and exploration; education and exchange of ideas and expertise, and cultural discussions and celebrations, all within a Jewish framework. In addition, Junction engages networks of young people through other opportunities to lead their own initiatives. Overall, Junction introduces participants to diverse, modern and positive ways to experience being Jewish.

The Junction Program Manager will have responsibility for the following areas:

International Gatherings: planning, executing and evaluating the Junction Gatherings, including:
o Outreach to and recruitment of participants and speakers
o Logistics: venue search, catering, visual hiring, technical equipment, transportation, rooming, security, registration
o Budget: building budget together with regional finance team, monitoring budget and supervising payments
Networks: follow up with Junction participants and alumni, network building, managing volunteers and volunteer committees, including:
o Outreach to current and former Junction participants
o Relationship building and tracking
o Creating links and opportunities for Junction alumni
o Structure and coordinate leadership committees for ongoing activity with Junction alumni
Communications: with Junction Program Director, create strategy for Junction communications:
o build content
o creative design to create visuals for web and marketing materials, layouts and other activities
o manage online presence
Other
o Data management
o Additional tasks as needed
Key qualifications
o At least a BA degree or equivalent
o Excellent interpersonal skills
o Excellent organizational skills
o Ability to identify and manage talent
o Recruitment skills
o International experience
o Excellent English, additional languages an advantage

Location: Europe (Budapest/Barcelona/Milan preferred)
Start date: November 2016
